I am so excited to start this blog. I got the idea today from a book at Barnes and Noble that showed different bloggers and their art work. I got inspired to start my own. I saw really neat art work in the book, and people using the blog as a place to express themselves. I use to be an art major but changed my mind at the idea that I would either be a starving artist or that I would have to work for someone else and not really get to express myself in my own way. I decided to keep art as a hobby and take the pressure off. Over the years I have taken a number of classes, and enjoyed most of them. I honestly have not touched a paintbrush now for five years. I guess I got "busy." But I think art is something that lives in me, my everyday world. However without expressing it I can see how a great part of me has been missing from my life. Today I was uplifted once again. Art is an escape for me, an outlet to breathe and a place that is untouchable by all those that attempt to force us into their narrow minded dark ways of life and thinking. I have decided to keep my art blog open and not limited....inspiration as it comes. Here goes. :)
